I'd say it's got to be looking likely if he remains fit. Really good showing from him in the last couple of months, and scoring a variety of goals.

Kane is scoring regularly but you couldn't justify picking Vardy or Rooney in an international squad at the moment.
Rooney appears to be a squad player at Man U at the moment
Of course he WILL be picked
I'd like to see Carroll start 20 games in a row before you even thought of him playing for England.

If there was ever a manager to pick players that are currently in form then Carroll and Defoe would certainly be picked.
However, it would just be the same old Rooney, Kane, Vardy and maybe one other.

Then spend the close season having a rest and start pre season a bit before the others !

Exactly! I get the impression that Carroll is still working his way back to full fitness & Bilic is being careful with the way he's managing him
It would be a massive boost for Carroll to get back into the England squad but probably the worst thing for him (& us) at this moment in time
Once (if) his injuries are fully behind him then it's a different matter
Since he's been back he's shown what a good striker he is. On form & fit, he's virtually unplayable
Playing for England now would be too greater risk all round wasting the steady progress he's made coming back from injury

Carroll is already injured. He has a groin problem which he is trying to play through. Hasn't he had to come off in the last two matches?
Why would you add in England training when you need heavy fitness management, rest and treatment?

We can't win on this.
If he's playing well, he should be picked.
If he's not playing well or just not playing, we're fucked.
Outcome of either scenario. Carroll is likely injured.
(Maybe he can score a first 10 minute hat-trick against WBA infront of Southgate, then go off. Not asking much is it?)

The Sky ticker had Cresswell stating that big Andrew has scored 20 in his last 33 starts. I raised an eyebrow at this.
